This post is part of an unpaid partnership with the awesome team over at The Studio Ease and contains my honest opinion about their products.
TLDR: I LOVE them! 🙂
Most of us have grown up writing thank you notes for birthday and Christmas presents. It was core part of our upbringing. No matter how badly we wanted to rip into the next present, Mum made sure we recorded who gave us each gift on a big yellow legal pad and the next day we’d sit down and write out personalized thank you cards to each person. This was a non-negotiable of every present bearing holiday around our house. It seems that somewhere along the way, as a culture, we’ve lost this habit.
In our increasingly digital world it can be easy to just shoot someone a text of thanks to someone versus sitting down to write a thank you. There is nothing I love more than receiving a hand written note from a friend. Feeling the paper, seeing the loops and slants of their handwriting, knowing that they took extra effort in their busy day to sit down and write something just for me. It makes me feel special and close to them in a way that makes thousands of miles melt away.
The idea of building a gratitude practice has been a big topic in my life lately and seems to come up frequently in conversations with my friends and seems to be a trend. There are two ways I’m building my gratitude practice. One way is verbalizing gratitude each morning which you can read more about here. The other big piece of my gratitude practice is writing thank you cards and gratitude cards. You may have seen the first post about the handy little Gratitude Cards from The Studio Ease that are perfect to keep in your bag when the moment strikes and you want something a little more thoughtful than a post-it note but not so formal as a thank you card. I frequently travel with these!
As you continue to read the blog you’ll see how much I love paper goods. Notepads, calendars, planners, post-it notes, thank you cards. As much as I try to be part of this digital age, there are many times that nothing replaces good old fashioned pen and paper! It’s so much easier, for me at least, to get inspired to write cards when I have stationery that inspires me. I absolutely LOVE these Brush Study Thank You Cards from The Studio Ease. Scrolling through their Insta feed, I fell in love with their products and their mission – “We believe in celebrating a timeless lifestyle and making an impact by creating ethical, effortless stationery.” Their You Are Seriously Awesome cards are pretty fun too! How great would it be to get a random note in the mail just because someone thinks your rad?
The purpose of this blog is to connect you to great products, practices and people that can inspire and equip you to live a life with purpose. And, I have to say that these you cards hit a 10/10 on all of the above! These cards are designed an printed in Nashville,Tennessee and as they state on their website, “we source only the finest materials, from our paper stocks to our packaging. We want to bring you into our studio and share these stories with you so that together we can share community and make an impact.” These gorgeous cards inspire me to continue my thank you notes and gratitude practice and the founder is an absolutely fantastic gal who I hope to an interview with soon!
Head over to The Studio Ease and check out their line of cards, planners and notepads and keep an eye on my Insta for more peeks at their gorgeous products.
And, because we’re all about taking action here on the blog, who is someone you can write a thank you card to this weekend? I’d also love to hear about what helps you build your gratitude practice- leave me a comment below!
